Unique Sites In Las Vegas Part 1
This is the first entry in a new series here at your favorite Vegas site I’m gonna call Unique Sites in Las Vegas. We all come here for the gambling, the food and the entertainment. But there’s some little-known sites to see and if you don’t know about them you’d miss them.
So the first entry is we have the world’s largest chocolate fountain here. Yes, in the desert! Located at the Jean-Philippe Patisserie inside the Bellagio hotel and casino it’s 27 feet high and features 3 different flavors of chocolate. It circulates 2100 pounds of chocolate at a rate of 120 quarts a minute! You can’t sample from it however it’s just for show. It’s all encased in a glass enclosure. The temperature is kept heated to keep the chocolate in a liquid state. The folks from the Guiness World Records have verified it as the world’s largest so it’s an official record.
It really is quite a site and a marvel of architecture and design. The chocolate flows in 3 different levels into hand-sculpted glass bowls. The more you watch it the more impressed you are. Just in case it triggers your sweet tooth you can purchase some high end pastries and treats while you check it out! The fountain is located just behind the Conservatory. Follow the walkway to the left and go past the spa. You can’t miss it! Here’s some pics of the fountain:
