Lamborghini Dealer Opens Inside The Palazzo

One great thing I love about Las Vegas is the unique things we have here that you can’t find any where else. Like having a car dealership right in the casino! This week saw the opening of the Lamborghini dealer inside the Palazzo.

It’s not the first time it’s been done here. When the Wynn opened a couple of years ago Steve Wynn opened a Ferarri-Maserati just off the casino floor, the world’s first. But in their never-ending game of one-upsmanship, Sheldon Adelson has opened the strip’s first Lamborghini dealership. But he added a twist. A Lamborghini-themed restaurant as well as the dealer. Called “Dal Toro” it’s located on the first level just off the street entrance. Of course the theme is Italian food, and the prices aren’t that bad. You can choose to dine inside or out.

Much like the Wynn there is a $10 charge to go into the dealer and see the cars close-up. There’s also a gift shop with a ton of Lambo merchandise. There is already another Lamborghini dealer in Las Vegas, a few miles south of the strip in an industrial park and the new one is an extension of that one.

As an aside there’s an interesting (and true) story about the Ferrari dealer at the Wynn. Some time ago,  a high-roller won a huge jackpot and decided he wanted to purchace a Ferrari with his winnings. So he headed over to the Wynn and said he was there to purchase a car. He was told he had to wait in line and pay the $10 entrance fee. He said, no, you don’t understand, I want to BUY one, right now. Again he was told to wait in line and pay the fee. He said, fine I’ll just take my money elsewhere. And made his purchase at a different dealer in another state. Then returned to the Wynn and showed his paperwork to the dealer manager, who I’m sure wasn’t very happy he lost a potential 300 to 400 thousand dollar sale over $10.

The new Lambo dealer is a cool place if you ask me.  Italian food, exotic cars, and the Strip. What more can you ask for!
