Grand opening of the Planet Hollywood Casino
This weekend is the grand opening of the Planet Hollywood Casino. They had bought the Alladin Casino a couple of years ago & revamped the whole place. I have to be honest, I was sceptical when I heard about PH having a casino here. I figured it’d be a cheezy Hollywood theme like the restaurant chain. But lemme tell ya, they did a great job. It’s a contemporary, modern theme & works well. It’s not an easy task to re-do an entire casino AND still keep it open & operating at the same time. They also renamed the mall around the casino & have added some places like Trader Vic’s which are brand new to Las Vegas. I went down today & checked out the soft opening of the Hawaiian Tropic restaurant. They’re gonna have an indoor bar/restaurant & an outdoor patio. The grand opening is set for Nov. 30.
