40/40 Club In The Palazzo To Close
After rumors circulating that it was closing, it was announced that the 40/40 Club inside the Palazzo was indeed closing down. It had only been open for a few months. It was owned by rapper Jay-Z and was an extension of his other 40/40 clubs. The space will be sold back to the Las Vegas Sands, which is the parent company of the Venetian-Palazzo and also the Sands convention center.
Not sure the reason it didn’t work out. It seemed like a cool place, although I never got a chance to check it out. Allgedly it wasn’t making any money, which is never a good thing. The Palazzo will turn the space into a sportsbook, which it already has a very small satellite one outside the space.
Clubs and restaurants open and close all the time here it’s really nothing new. It’s part of what makes Vegas exciting. Seeing what’s new since your last trip!
BTW 40/40 Club is a baseball term. It’s for players that have 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a single season. To date there’s only 4 players in the club!
